Cinema
A nicely
projected film in a beautiful cinema can definitely be an experience even
though it's not the anniversary screening of "2001. A Space Odyssey" on
70mm. It takes (technical) knowledge and experience to make a screening
memorable for the audience: good equipment, the right setup, proper
preparation of the films and an eye for the details that make a
difference are key for a good show - especially when it comes to
archive prints, to festivals with their needs and mixed format short
film programs.
Involved in about 15 (international) film festivals, with more than 10 years of experience in cinema and working for an archival institution which is a member of FIAF & ACE; knowing festival work from organisation through print inspection and DCP Mastering to setting up cinemas and projection – I'm pretty sure I can help you out. |
